Public Rescue Equipment (PRE) is now stationed at Bethells Beach SLSP Tower
It is designed to offer public rescuers flotation to themselves and the patient
If you can’t swim, please do not use the public rescue equipment or go into the water

Call 111 and ask for Police and report the position, problem, people involved e.g. “Bethells Beach - 50m South of tower - drowning - one person in water”
Please follow the instructions. Place the sash over your shoulder and swim out to the patient. Keep a safe distance and reassure the patient. Hand them the flotation device. Raise your arm and signal for assistance."
