Fab news!

Massive thanks to Matuku for all their mahi in providing this amazing opportunity, which they are doing specially for our community, in addition to their usual conservation work.

This awesome service means that we can keep some more of those pesky things we can’t put in the roadside recycling out of the landfill. So, drop in (if their gate is open) and drop off your items, to do your bit for preventing plastic pollution!

Location

The drop off depot is currently situated inside the Matuku grounds (111 Bethells Road), drive in, park and follow the path to the right past the seedling raising area, and you’ll see it there.

Items that can be deposited:

  • lids
  • medication blister packs
  • Tetra Paks – these must be opened out and cleaned, as per the instructions on the drop-off stand.
  • pens
  • Colgate products

(please see the stand itself for more details and instructions).

Locals only please!

NB Matuku will be footing the bill themselves for some of these items to be recycled, as a gift to our community. So please only use this point if you are a Te Henga resident. If you have a friend outside Bethells who wants to recycle their things – why not encourage them to find or start a drop-off point nearer to their home!?

Calling regular visitors Western Springs

NB the Tetra Paks need to be dropped off at Western Springs, so if anyone travels regularly to that area and would be willing to drop them off from time to time, please be in touch with Matuku Link to save them making a special trip.
